About Coach Adler

After coaching Division I college basketball for the past 20 years, Harris Adler retired from the profession in Spring 2018 and moved back to his South Jersey roots to spend more time with family.

Over his 20 years of college coaching, Adler has assisted in turning three Division I basketball programs into winning success taking them all to the NCAA tournament after significant spans without March Madness appearances.

Most recently, Adler was Assistant Coach at Auburn University, under Head Coach Bruce Pearl.  Adler joined Auburn in 2014 at the start of Coach Pearl's tenure and together, they built the program from the ground up, ultimately resulting in winning the 2018 SEC Conference Championship and making an appearance at the NCAA Tournament.

While at Auburn, Adler's responsibilities included shooting, ball handling, athletic conditioning, scouting  and academics although Coach Adler's primary responsibility was recruiting and he was a key component in recruiting three of the best signing classes in Auburn program history.

Prior to Auburn, Coach Adler was an Assistant Coach at LaSalle University under Head Coach Dr John Gianinni where Adler was instrumental in LaSalle's historic 2013 run to the Sweet 16.  Before LaSalle, Adler coached at the University of Pennsylvania under Head Coach Fran Dunphy where Adler helped the program to an Ivy League Championship and an NCAA Tournament bid.  Adler's resume also includes stints at Centenary College, Rowan University and Salem Community College where Adler began his basketball coaching career.

Coach Adler attended the University of the Sciences (formerly the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy) where he earned his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and earned his Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration from Rowan University.
